Iraqi security officials wounded while neutralizing a suicide bomber in Kirkuk.

On Thursday, Iraqi security forces thwarted a suicide bombing attack outside the National Security building in the city of Kirkuk.
When the suicide bomber was spotted he was shot at, and the bullets hit his explosive vest and detonated, injuring two security officials.
A suicide bomber tried to blow himself up in the National Security building in the Qurayyah area in the city of Kirkuk, but the guards shot him.

No group has yet claimed responsibility, but the terrorist group ISIS have been carrying out more attacks in recent months. A Peshmerga volunteer in Kirkuk’s Sargaran town said to Rudaw English on Wednesday,
ISIS is very active in the region, to the point that they have complete control at night.

On Wednesday, ISIS admitted that it attacked a military base in Kirkuk using mortars. Iraqi security officials did not comment on whether ISIS’s attack took place.
