Former Mossad official appointed head of the Israeli National Security Council.

Israel’s Prime Minister Naftali Bennett has appointed Eyal Hulata, a former Mossad official, as the new head of the National Security Council replacing National Security Adviser Meir Ben-Shabbat an ex-premier of Benjamin Netanyahu. The chairman of the Foreign Affairs and Defense committee Ram Ben Barak Makhol, who used to be a deputy head of the Mossad expressed his views on the appointment of Eyal Hulta as the news head of the National Security Council.

Excellent appointment. Definitely worthy of the position.

A statement from the Prime Minister’s office said,

In light of his years-long experience, performance and understanding the State of Israel’s strategic challenges in the security and diplomatic spheres, Prime Minister Bennett chose to appoint him.

Eyal Hulata worked in the Mossad for 20 years where he headed the agency’s spy department for strategic planning and was also the chief of the department’s technology unit. More details to follow.
