On Tuesday morning, two Baltimore police officers were shot outside a mall in Woodlawn, Baltimore, Maryland while serving a warrant. The police officers did not sustain life-threatening wounds and were rushed to the University of Maryland Medical Center. The suspect was shot and died while in hospital.

A huge part of the parking lot at Security Square Mall was cordoned off after the shooting for the officers to collect evidence surrounding a pickup truck. The truck was littered with bullet holes in the driver’s driver’s side window and windshield. The rest of the shopping mall complex was kept open for the public. The status of the police officers is not exactly known yet, except that they did not sustain life-threatening wounds, but are in the hospital’s shock trauma unit.
