China will nuke Japan if it interferes militarily in Taiwan, according to a CCP sanctioned video.

A Chinese Communist Party (CCP) sanctioned video has been circulating that warns Japan against intervening militarily in Taiwan or else it will nuke Japan continuously, despite their policy to not use nuclear weapons against non-nuclear powers. In the video, it says that they will make an exception of the rule of not attacking a non-nuclear country, and continuously bombard it with nuclear weapons if it dares to put even one soldier in Taiwan.
We will use nuclear bombs first. We will use nuclear bombs continuously. We will do this until Japan declares unconditional surrender for the second time. When we liberate Taiwan, if Japan dares to intervene by force – even if it only deploys one soldier, one plane or one ship – we will not only return fire but also wage full-scale war against Japan itself.

The narrator in the video also says:
Japan is the only country in the world that has been hit by atomic bombs. It has a deep memory of this from the government down to the people. Nuclear deterrence against Japan will get twice the result with half the effort.

The video also mentions that it is time to adjust its nuclear policy in accordance to what is necessary for China to survive.
Nearly 60 years have passed. Now the international situation has changed dramatically. Our country is in the midst of a major change. And all political policies, tactics and strategies must be adjusted to protect the peaceful rise of our country. It is necessary to make limited adjustments to our nuclear policy.

The video ends by saying:
They will be used continuously until its unconditional surrender. There will be no peace talks.

Tensions between Japan and China have soared recently when Japanese politicians committed themselves in protecting Taiwanese sovereignty, but Japan remained committed in protecting them despite the growing threats posed by China.
We must defend Taiwan, under our alliance with the US.
Deputy Prime Minister Taro Aso.
China and Russia have been continuously testing Japan’s airspace daily by deploying aircraft, Russia from the North and China from the South. Japan has to deploy its fighter jets more than twice each day in an attempt to counter the ever increasing number of incursions.
Last week at a press briefing Chinese foreign ministry spokesman Zhao Lijian said:
We will never allow anyone to intervene in the Taiwan question in any way.

It seems China has been so infuriated with Japan’s commitment in protecting Taiwan’s democracy that a CCP approved video channel with very close ties to the People’s Liberation army (PLA) released a second video where it lists six steps in eliminating Japan which includes putting it under the administration of China and Russia.
Professor Stephan Fruhling of the Australian National University’s Strategic and Defence Studies Centre believes that the video expresses the anger in China’s elite politicians.
My sense though is that they will squash this kind of rhetoric insofar as it is only likely to strengthen the case for the US to rely more heavily on nuclear weapons in the Indo-Pacific as well. The possibility that (Beijing) would use nuclear weapons against Japan or the US if they thought it would make the difference between victory and defeat in a war over Taiwan is, in my view, very real.
