Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department reported that one person was killed during a shooting that occurred before 1am on Wednesday. The shooting occurred in 6200 block of Nimitz Drive.

Upon police arrival in the scene, they found a 26-year man critically injured on the floor. He was rushed to the hospital but soon afterwards succumbed to his wounds.

There is no information as to why the shooting occurred. Also, they have no information about any suspects.
