Iraqi Prime Minister Mustafa al-Kadhimi departed Iraq for Washington, United States to attend a scheduled meeting on Monday with President Joe Biden. The Iraqi Premier is expected to talk about the withdrawal of the 2,500 US troops currently stationed in the country, but will also request US training and military intelligence gathering. Before leaving Iraq, he said:

There is no need for any foreign combat forces on Iraqi soil. The war against IS and the readiness of our forces requires a special timetable, and this depends on the negotiations that we will conduct in Washington.
