On Tuesday at around 10pm an explosion was reported at the LxBio laboratory located in 22 Rue Béteille, Rodez, France. Many residents heard the explosion and immediately called the Rescue and Fire Service. The response was abrupt and a huge number of police and fire engines headed to the scene.

The road was cordoned off and firefighters searched all four floors of the building. A biologist that works in the lab assisted the firefighters during their search, as in some machines there was radioactivity.

There have been no casualties or injuries. An investigation has been launched to determine the cause of the explosion. More details to follow.
