An investigation has been launched regarding a ‘loud explosion’ that was heard on Saturday night at around 9.50pm. The explosion was heard across many parts of Montgomery County and was reported by a number of people who claimed they felt the ground shaking. The Clarksville Police Department posted on their Facebook page claiming that there seems to be no property damage or injuries related to the accident, but the police and fire department along with the Montgomery County Sheriffs Office and Emergency Medical Services (EMS) attempted to search for a number of hours to determine where the explosion occurred.

The Police Department also said that Fort Campbell was on a four day weekend due to the Labor day holiday, but the police confirmed that they were not conducting any training or exercise. The Police continued that the explosion could have been caused by an unknown phenomena. They are waiting for anyone to maybe report actual damage caused by the explosion.
