A 4.7-magnitude earthquake struck 31 miles west of Tonopah, Nye County, Nevada, USA at a shallow depth of 4.1km.
The exact magnitude, epicenter, and depth of the quake might be changed again later on as seismologists review their data and calculations, or else as other agencies issue their own reports, but it is unlikely.
Towns or cities that might have felt a weak shaking include Mina (pop. 160) located 23 miles from the epicenter, Tonopah (pop. 2,500) 30 miles away, and Hawthorne (pop. 3,300) 52 miles away.
