Several dead in an explosion in southern Iran.

A gas explosion claimed the lives of nine people in the southwestern district of Iran’s capital, Tehran. The three-storey building located in Robat Karim town collapsed soon after the explosion. There is no suspicion of foul play.
An explosion on Wednesday evening in a building in Robat-Karim, south of the capital, left nine dead and nine injured.

The rescue operation to search for survives among the rubble took 11 hours and ended early this morning. The Fars News Agency reported that a gas leak and water heater explosion caused the huge explosion that decimated the building.
