Half an hour ago a 5.0- magnitude earthquake struck Banda Sea, 107 km northeast of Kendari, Southeast Sulawesi, Indonesia at a shallow depth of 10km.
The exact magnitude, epicenter, and depth of the quake might be changed again later on as seismologists review their data and calculations, or else as other agencies issue their own reports, but it is unlikely.
Several towns or cities in the vicinity felt the earthquake as weak shaking. These include Kendaki, Katabu, Luwuk, Palopo, Poso, Watampone and Sengkang.
