Minutes ago a 5.2-magnitude earthquake struck 28 km south of Curico, Maule Region, Chile at a depth of 100km.

The exact magnitude, epicenter, and depth of the quake might still be changed again later on as seismologists review their data and calculations, or else as other agencies issue their own reports, but it is unlikely.

Weak to moderate shaking was felt in Molina, Curico, Talca, Chimbarongo (Colchagua, O’Higgins), San Javier de Loncomilla, Santa Cruz, Linares, Rengo, Puente Alto (Metropolitana) and Santiago de Chile (Metropolitana). More details to follow.
