Minutes ago a 4.1-magnitude earthquake struck 7.6 miles north of Concord, Contra Costa County, California, USA at a depth of 19.7km.

The exact magnitude, epicenter, and depth of the quake might still be changed again later on as seismologists review their data and calculations, or else as other agencies issue their own reports, but it is unlikely.

Weak shaking was felt in Bay Point (pop. 21,500) located 4 miles from the epicenter, New York of the Pacific (pop. 69,400) 6 miles away, Concord (pop. 128,700) 8 miles away, Martinez (pop. 38,100) 9 miles away, Antioch (pop. 110,500) 11 miles away, Fairfield (pop. 113,000) 12 miles away, Walnut Creek (pop. 68,900) 13 miles away, and Vallejo (pop. 121,300) 15 miles away.
