On Tuesday morning local sources reported an explosion at a chemical factory in Chirchiq town, Tashkent region, Uzbekistan. It seem to have occured in the workshop of a joint venture named Maxam Chirchiq. It is considered one of the largest chemical factory in Uzbekistan. Firefighters and emergency teams are at the scene.

The explosion seem to have occured after a fire. The Maxam Chirchiq factory explorts fertilizers to Turkey, Iran and United Arab Emirates.
