Amid the recent chaos, sparked by the murder of a 22 year- old Mahsa (Zhina) Amini while in custody by Iranian regime forces, an Iran prison is on fire, possibly due to prisoners attempting to flee it.

Iranian took the streets and the country has faced huge protests since her death on 16th September. Hundreds of people, including 13 children have died as a result of the regime attempting to suppress the protests.

Evin Prison is known to harbour political prisoners. There were reports of gunshots inside the prison. More details to follow.
