On Sunday afternoon a huge explosion struck a chemical plant in Panjin, a coastal city in northeast China’s Liaoning province. Two people were killed and 12 others have been unaccounted for so far. Four people have been seriously injured.

The fire that seem to have happened during maintenance works is under control. The cause of the explosion is not yet known.
