Flights from Bangladesh were suspended for 1 week, after a surge in cases in Rome were traced back to a community of Bangladeshi people that have recently returned to Rome.

The Health minister Roberto Speranza said that out of the 225 passengers, 21 are positive for the virus, so far. Not all results have been issued yet.

The Health commissioner, Alessio D’Amato described the plane as a ‘a real viral bomb that we have defused’. All passengers will be quarantined for 2 weeks, as per procedure for all passengers coming from outside the European Union.
