The President of the United States, Donald Trump was transferred to Walter Reed National Military Medical Center, and is believed that he has been given Remdesivir and a cocktail of experimental antibody drugs.

Donald Trump is reportedly in good health but is tired. White House physician Navy Cmdr. Dr. Sean Conley wrote that Donald Trump is doing well.

This evening I’m happy to report that the President is doing very well. He is not requiring any supplemental oxygen, but in consultation with specialists we have elected to initiate Remdesivir therapy. He has completed his first dose and resting comfortably.’

Last Friday, the Donald Trump tweeted that he and his wife Melania Trump were positive for the coronavirus, possibly contracting it from his closest aide, Hope Hicks. Ms. Hicks was diagnosed with coronavirus last Thursday.

Before being transferred to the hospital, based on Dr.Conley’s recommendation, Donald Trump posted an 18-second video on Twitter, where he explained that he will be transferred to the medical center and that he is ‘doing very well’. He thanked people for their support.

Meanwhile, a lot of leaders around the World wished Donald Trump a quick recovery, including China.

Donald Trump blamed China for the virus, which might complicate an already difficult relationship US has with China. Donald Trump, for a long time, downplayed the severity of the virus, resulting in an unhindered spread of the virus, with more than 200,000 death in the US. A huge failure considering US is widely considered the most advanced nation on Earth.

US President, Donald Trump, joins a number of leaders that got infected with the virus. The Prime Minister of United Kingdom Boris Johnson, Brazil’s President Jair Bolsonaro, Prime Minister of Armenia Nikol Pashinyan and Bolivian President Jeanine Anez Chavez, contracted the virus a few months ago. Former Italian Prime Minister, Silvio Berlusconi also contracted the virus, and like Mr. Trump, went to the hospital as a precautionary measure.

The US president with the coronavirus creates a complication, due to the election campaign. It is not yet known what will happen. Recently, the US President debated with US Democratic leader Joe Biden on Television. A debate widely considered as disgraceful, after both leaders, especially Donald Trump ended up attacking each other personally. Joe Biden also sent out a message to Donald Trump for a quick revovery.

Several top White House aides contracted the virus recently, and for this reason, the White House was testing everyone close to Donald Trump daily, even reporters. Some of the well known names in the White House that contracted the virus, include National Security Advisor Robert O’Brien and Vice- President’s Press Secretary, Katie Miller.
