On Tuesday morning, a huge explosion ripped through Lanzhou chemical plant in China causing a massive blaze. Firefighters were immediately deployed to the scene, where they could be seen battling the fire. No casualties or injuries has been reported so far.

China’s state-owned CCTV said,

At present, the local fire department is handling rescue operations on the spot. Whether the accident caused casualties is being verified.

Recently, Lanzhou city was on the news over the outbreak of Brucellosis, a bacterial disease that exhibits flu-like symptoms.

An investigation into the cause of the explosion has been launched.
