In Thursday morning, a massive explosion struck Jasnova Pharmaceutical and Specialty Chemicals company in Khalpur, Mahasatra, killing two people and injuring eight others. A massive blaze ensued after the explosion. The blast took place in a reactor during the manufacturing process.

The victims were working near the reactor before the explosion. When the explosion took place, metal objects tore out from the reactor and hit the workers. Two workers managed to escape unhurt, after they quickly exited, as the fire engulfed the entire factory.

Fire fighters were immediately deployed to the area, where they managed to extinguish the fire after five hours.
