Syrian authorities revealed that on Monday 1:18am local time, Israel conducted several airstrikes around Damascus killing six Syrian soldiers. The airstrikes were targeting several arms depot which includes missile stores around the city. The bombing is believed to have hit in a region where Iranian- backed militias are entrenched.

The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights and SANA news agency said that the Syrian air defense intercepted a number of missiles.

Syrian air defences intercepted a sizable number of the missiles but many hit their targets and caused material damage.

The missiles are believed to have been fired from Golan heights according to a report released by AP news agency. Israel did not comment on the attack.
