All data is lost in OVH, Europe’s largest data center, after a fire engulfed the center.

A fire that broke out shortly after midnight on Wednesday destroyed OVH Data Center causing millions of websites to go offline and it is also believed that the data is not recoverable.
The fire which destroyed one of the four data centers of OVHcloud in Strasbourg, France, also damaged another data center. There have been no reported casualties and no explanation of what might have happened that led to the fire. Around 100 fireman attempted to extinguish the fire. Founder and chairman Octave Klaba tweeted,
Firefighters were immediately on the scene but could not control the fire.

This accident comes two days after OVHcloud initiated plans for an initial public offering. OVHcloud has 14 data centers in France and 32 globally. An investigation has been launched to determine the cause of the fire.
