On Tuesday, a sudden major outage caused major news organization websites and other popular websites such as Amazon and Github to go offline.

Websites affected by the outage are Amazon, Reddit, Twitch, GitHub, eBay, Etsy, Pinterest, Stack Overflow and news organizations websites such as New York Times, BBC, Bloomberg, the Guardian, the Independent, FT, CNN, the Atlantic, the New Statesman, Le Monde, New York Magazine, FinancialTimes, Haaretz and the New Yorker.

Update: CNN & BBC are back online. Reports are coming in that the outage occured at Fastly, a major network provider.

Update 2: Most websites have been restored.
