A 4.0-magnitude earthquake struck the North Pacific Ocean, off the coast of Oregon, USA at a depth of 13km. The European-Mediterranean Seismological Centre (EMSC) also reported the quake at the same magnitude.

As is usual, the exact magnitude, epicenter, and depth of the quake might revised in the next hours or minutes as seismologists review their data and calculations, or else as other agencies issue their report.

Towns or cities that might have felt very weak shaking include Bandon (pop. 3,120) 379km away from the epicenter and Coos Bay (pop.16,200) 388km away.
