Huge Explosion at Petromidia Refinery, Romania.

On Friday at a around noon, a huge explosion rocked the Petromidia Refinery, 25 km north of Constanta, Romania. A large fire broke out after the explosion.
Around 50 firefighters were deployed to the scene. Moments ago, it has been reported that they managed to extinguish the fire. Unfortunately, one person has died and five others have been injured. One if those injured suffered burns on over 45% of his body. He was transferred to a hospital in Bucharest. Every employee been evacuated. There is no risk of a new explosion but the situation is unpredictable.
From the information we have, it seems that it was an explosion at the oil gas transmission installation, and the cause will be established at the end of the intervention

Petromidia Refinery is the largest Romanian oil refinery and is also one of the largest in Eastern Europe, located in Năvodari, Constanța County.
An investigation has been launched to determine the cause of the explosion.
