A gunman is on the run after a shooting in Fresno, California.

A gunman is currently on the run after a shooting led to a crash close to intersection of Herndon Avenue and First Street on Friday morning.
Fresno police have blocked several streets including Herndon Avenue in both directions at First Street and Millbrook Avenue.
Investigators said that a woman in her 30s was wounded while driving on Frist street when a suspect in a light coloured sedan opened fire on her vehicle. The woman was hit in her upper body, and in an attempt to drive away from the shooter she crashed into another vehicle at the intersection. Upon arrival of the police they found the woman in her car in a critical condition. She was rushed to the Community Regional Medical Center.
The suspect is believed to be in his 40s and he was most likely in the passenger seat. Detectives believe that this was an isolated accident. Detectives have not identified a motive behind the shooting.
