Hours ago a strong 5.8-magnitude earthquake struck Viloyati Khatlon, 27 km southeast of Rasht, Republican Subordination, Tajikistan at a depth of 10km. The German Research Centre for Geosciences (GFZ) were first to report the quake.
The exact magnitude, epicenter, and depth of the quake might revised later on as seismologists review their data and calculations, or else as other agencies issue their report.
