Hours ago, USGS reported a 2.8-magnitude earthquake 25 miles east of Greenfield, Monterey County, California and minutes ago a 3.8-magnitude struck 3.5 miles west of Patterson, Stanislaus County, California, USA at a depth of 8.5 and 10km respectively. The 3.8-magnitude earthquake needs further verification.
The exact magnitude, epicenter, and depth of the quake might revised later on as seismologists review their data and calculations, or else as other agencies issue their report.
Based on preliminary data both earthquakes should not have caused any significant damage. Several cities such as Sacramento and Brentwood felt a weak shaking.
