Two 4.0-magnitude earthquake strike California.

An hour ago USGS reported two 4.0-magnitude earthquakes that occurred 1 minute apart in Mono County, 39 mi southeast of South Lake Tahoe, El Dorado County at a depth of 1 and 8km.
The exact magnitude, epicenter, and depth of the quakes might revised later on as seismologists review their data and calculations, or else as other agencies issue their report.
Based on preliminary data both quakes should not have caused any significant damage, and most likely people close to the epicenter felt a weak shaking. The town of Walker, Topaz Ranch Estimates, Smith Valley and Gardnerville Ranchos felt a weak shaking.
