A 5.1- magnitude earthquake strikes California.

Minutes ago USGS reported that a 5.1-magnitude earthquake struck North Pacific Ocean, 38 mi southwest of Eureka, Humboldt County, California, USA at a depth of 27km.

The exact magnitude, epicenter, and depth of the quakes might revised later on as seismologists review their data and calculations, or else as other agencies issue their report.

Based on preliminary data it is believed that that the earthquake did not cause any significant damage and was most likely felt by people living near the epicenter of the quakes.
