Local officials in Nairobi Kenya said that 13 people lost their lives on Saturday after a fuel tank exploded. People lost their lives when the overturned fuel tank was spilling oil and people rushed to it to collect it. Soon afterwards, it ignited and exploded killing 13 people and injuring several others. Firefighters arrived in the area two hours after the explosion.

Moments before the explosion, the fuel truck crashed into a vehicle causing the truck to collapse.

It burned when I scooped up the fuel that was flowing. I counted 12 on the scene. Another person was injured and died in the hospital.

The death toll might rise as more people were injured with severe burns and were rushed to the hospital. Infants were also severly burned in the explosion.
