Minutes ago the United States Geological Survey reported (USGS) reported that a 3.2-magnitude earthquake struck Mendocino County, 55 miles west of Chico, Butte County, California, USA at a very shallow depth of 4.3km.

The exact magnitude, epicenter, and depth of the quake might revised later on as seismologists review their data and calculations, or else as other agencies issue their report.

Towns or cities that might have felt a very weak shaking include Elk Creek (pop. 160) located 18 miles from the epicenter, and Covelo (pop. 1,300) 22 miles away.
