Catholic priest murdered in Western France.

Local sources reported on Monday that a Catholic priest, Father Olivier Maire, 60, was murdered in the French western region of Vendée by an Rwandan refugee. The refugee was suspected of causing the fire that destroyed the Cathedral of Nantes last year.
Interior Minister Gérald Darmanin expressed on Twitter ‘all his support to the Catholics of our country’. He is expected to go to Saint-Laurent-sur-Sèvre where the murder took place. The killer, an Rwandan refugee suspected of causing the July 2020 Nantes Cathedral fire, handed himself in to the police where he admitted of killing the priest. The French President Emmanuel Macron paid a tribute to Father Olivier Maire on Twitter.

So in France, it’s possible to be an illegal immigrant, to set fire to the cathedral of Nantes, never to be expelled, and to re-offend by murdering a priest.
