Moments ago RT’s senior correspondent Murad Gazdiev said that there was a third explosion near Kabul airport. According to Mr. Gazdiev the explosion occurred 7km away. This comes after two explosions struck close to Kabul airport on Thursday, killing 60 Afghans and 12 US Servicemen. The explosions seem to have been caused by the terror group, ISIS.
Gunfire was heard soon after the explosion. It is believed that a Taliban vehicle night have hit an improvised explosive device (IED), but this information still needs to be verified.
Pentagon CENTCOM commander General McKenzie just said that more terror attacks are expected in Kabul Airport. The US contacted the Taliban about the situation and requested them to protect US personnel in line with the deal.
More details to follow.
