Penny market in Allershausen, Germany in flames after an explosion.

On Friday morning at 7.45am an explosion at the Penny market in the industrial area of Allershausen, Germany caused a fire. A number of fire Brigades rushed to the site . At one point the smoke coming from the building was do thick that some areas of the Ampertal community were in the dark.

It is believed that the explosion occured in a white van that was parked close to the market. The fire rapidly spread to the Penny building, but luckily it did not reach the neighbouring gas station. Police have urged all the nearby residents to keep their windows and doors closed.

No injuries or casaulties were reported so far.
