An hour ago the German Research Centre for Geosciences (GFZ) reported a 4.8-magnitude earthquake in the North Pacific Ocean, 169 km southwest of Tapachula de Cordova y Ordoñez, Mexico at a depth of 15km.

The exact magnitude, epicenter, and depth of the quake might be changed again later on as seismologists review their data and calculations, or else as other agencies issue their own reports.

Towns that must likely felt a weak shaking include Las Brisas del Huayate (pop. 180) located 118 km from the epicenter.
