Mass shooting in downtown Sacramento, California.

According to initial reports, police officers were called in just after 2 a.m. on Sunday to downtown Sacramento after an unknown individual opened fire in the area between 10th Street and K Street.

Police officials reported that at least 13 individuals were wounded in the mass shooting. Six of the victims were pronounced dead at the scene of the shooting.

Details about the circumstances of the terror attack are still unknown so far. Witnesses reported that a man in a car fired indiscriminately at a crowd near El Santo restaurant before than fleeing the scene. Around 50 gunshots were heard.

A large police presence in the area and urged people to avoid the area while an investigation into the cause of the attack is underway. The status of the shooter is unknown but is believed to be still on the run.
