On Thursday morning, a huge explosion was reported in east Baghdad, Iraq. The sound of the yet unidentified blast was heard near the area of Sha’ab.

There is no information as to what caused the explosion. The country has seen an escalation of violence mostly towards US troops due to the Iraqi’s Parliament delays in expelling all foreign troops.
