On Monday night an explosion occured at the Libra Nails and Spa in Baltimore County. Seven people, including four police officers were injured. A civilian and two emergency medical service providers were also injured in the blast.

According to Baltimore police a persom in distress started a fire in the Libra Nails and Spa. The man than ran to the back of the salon and the explosion occured. The man used to work in the salon. He ended up with serious injuries as a result of the explosion and was rushed to Johns Hopkins Bayview.

Due to the presence of chemicals in the nail salon, firefighters had to wear hazmat suits during its extinguishing operation. By 10.30pm the fire was under control.
