Russian car carrier on fire in Japanese Sea.

In the afternoon of June 25th local sources revealed that Russian crew abandoned the car carrier, Angara (ex-Honda) in full load after a fire erupted on the cargo deck. The fire seem to have started in one of the cars. There were a total of 600 second-hand cars in the carrier.

The accident seem to have happened north of Toyama, Honshu, Japan. The ship was enroute to Vladivostok from Fushiki, Japan in the afternoon of June 24th.

No injuries or casaulties were reported.
