Tokyo reports 111 new cases

On Monday, Tokyo reported the fifth straight day, topping 100 cases. Tokyo officials reported 102 cases, while on Sunday and Saturday, 111 and 131 cases respectively were reported.
The cases in Tokyo consists mainly of young people, and many have been found to have been infected from bars and other nightlife locations in the Kabukicho district.
Tokyo governor Yuriko Koike, who was re-elected on Sunday, urged all citizens not to travel outside of Tokyo to prevent the spread of the virus.
Koike, will not consider business closures in response to the surge in cases, but will instead focus on specific locations where infections are occurring, and taking the necessary measures.
