A 4.6-magnitude earthquake strikes El Salvador.

Minutes ago, INETER reported a 4.6-magnitude earthquake in North Pacific Ocean, 67 km southwest of San Salvador, El Salvador at a shallow depth of 30km, 16:42 local time.

As always, the exact magnitude, epicenter, and depth of the earthquake might be revised in the next few hours as seismologists review their data. No information regarding any damage has been reported yet.

Towns or cities that might have felt the quake include La Libertad (pop.16,900) located 40 km away from epicenter, San Salvador (pop.526,000) 67km away and Apopa (pop.112,200) 78km away.
