Moments ago, Israel Defense Forces (IDF) conducted several airstrikes in Gaza Strip in retaliation for incendiary balloons, a common weapon used by Hamas to cause widespread devastation.

The incendiary balloons caused a number of fires in southern Israel. At least 20 of them were caused by the incendiary balloons launched by Hamas from Gaza. IDF quickly responded and targeted assets belonging to Hamas and other terrorist groups.

These airstrikes come after a recent clash between IDF and protestors along the Gaza border over a flag march through the Old City of Jerusalem earlier in the day. Around 4 weeks ago, Israel and Hamas agreed on a ceasefire after intense fighting between the two risked escalating into a full-scale war.
