According to the Keokuk County Sheriff’s Office an explosion was reported in 18278 Highway 92 at a family farm in Sigourney at approximately 4pm on Friday. Four people were injured in the explosion.

Out of the four injured, three were minors with ages ranging from 8 to 14, and a 60-year old man. All were transferred to hospitals due to severe burns.

An investigation has been launched to determine the cause of the explosion.
