Huge explosion in Leverkusen, Germany.

Local authorities reported that a huge explosion just occurred moments ago in Leverkusen, Germany. The explosion seem to have occurred at around 9:30am in the German state of North Rhine-Westphalia at Chempark chemical production site in Bürrig. The thick black smoke was seen from Cologne, which is around 18km from the site of explosion and the explosion was felt in Bonn, 41km away from Leverkusen.
Emergency services have rushed to the site and people in the Bürrig area have been urged by the warning app, Nina, to stay indoors and close their windows. There is a huge risk that ‘dangerous substances’ have leaked out of the plant. The app said

Multiple people were severely injured and were rushed to hospital. Five people have been reported as missing. One of the missing has been found dead. A total of 16 have been injured in the accident.
