Moments ago local sources reported an explosion in Montpellier, France. The explosion seem to have occured after a garbage truck caught fire while being driven in Rue Paul- Brusse at around 18:30 on Thursday.

The garbage truck was very close to the Laissac market halls and the Jeu-de-Paume boulevard. Footage revealed the garbage truck on fire and plumes of thick black smoke. Moments later an explosion was heard. It is yet unknown what caused the fire and an investigation has been launched.
