Explosion at a Dallas apartment complex.

On Wednesday morning the Dallas Fire Rescue (DFR) reported that four firefighters and two civilians were injured after a natural gas explosion in a Dallas 2-story complex in the 5700 bock of Highland Hills Drive. All the injured were rushed to the hospital.
The Dallas Fire Station 54 was located just blocks away from the scene. DFR spokesperson Jason Evans said that initially they went to the scene to investigate a natural gas leak. While the firefighters were trying to identify the source of the gas, an explosion occured causing a partial collapse of the two-storey apartment.
At some point during the course of investigating the odor, an explosion occurred; causing a partial collapse of the two-story apartment building.

The explosion blew debris onto other apartment buildings and also a carport in the parking lot. Thr firefighters managed to extinguish the fire around 11am.
