Cargo ship destroys several fish farms in Gulluk Gulf, Turkey.

On Friday, the cargo ship Heba-M which was docked in Gulluk Bay Papaz Island,Turkey, for some reason, plunged into a number of fish farms. As a result of this accident it has been estimated that more than 1 million fish weighing between 400 and 500 grams escaped into the sea. It has been revealed that the cargo ship stuck a total of three fishing ponds. The ship was 1 nautical mile off from the coast when the accident happened. The coast guard questioned the captain and two assistants of the ship. An investigation has been launched regarding the incident. Damage estimation is under way.
The cargo ship which is registered in Cook Islands and was built in 1995. Currently, there are drivers working in an attempt to remove the nets that got entangled with the propellers of the ship. More details to follow.
