Russian warships spotted in the Arctic.

Satellite imagery have identified three Russian warships in the Arctic a few hours ago. According to HI Sutton, an independent defence analyst, two of the three Russian Navy warships were refuelling.
Russia has always maintained a presence in the Arctic. The region is known to be rich in oil and gas. The Arctic Circle is known to contain around 160 billion barrels of oil and roughly 30% of undiscovered natural gas. Countries like Russia, Norway, United States, Iceland, Canada, Sweden and Finland have states with territorial waters within the Arctic Circle.
