Russia reports 18,140 cases.

On Saturday, Russia reported 18,140 new cases and 334 deaths, of which, 4,952 were found in Moscow. Russia is one of the worst hit countries, along with United States of America, Brazil and India.
Russia has been experiencing a second wave, and has reported a shortage of beds, staff and medicine. Recently, Vladimir Putin announced that equipment shortages will result in a delay in the delivery of Sputnik V vaccine. So far, 9,000 people in Moscow have been given both shots of the Sputnik V vaccine, as part of a large-scale trial. The vaccine is delivered in two doses spread 21 days apart.
On Wednesday, masks will be mandatory in public spaces, elevators, parking lots and public transport. The chief sanitary officer, Anna Popova said that if the coronavirus cases continue to increase, authorities will introduce additional measures.
As of Saturday, Russia reported 1,618,116 cases and 27,990 deaths since the pandemic began.
